Weekend Highlight!

One of the best things I look forward to every December is our Girls Night Christmas Party. Its a night filled with 'all girls' stuff-- exchanging stories, keeping tabs on their lives, picture taking(like no end), good food and wine blah blah.. 

These girls.. we've been together for 20+ years, I can't wait of the rest of our lives! =)

Happy brrrrrrday BFF!

                    My girlfriends and I braved the cold and braved the 6.5hr bus ride to Baguio City!
      Marissa has migrated to Baguio and has been living there for already 12 years, tho we are separated by distance it seems like she is never really that far away as we almost talk /skype/chat every single day haha!--It was her birthday - a birthday 'run'. Her 1st 10k. There was so much to celebrate, she had recently quit her job to spend more time with her family, focus on her health and a lot more. So  special indeed we waited at the finish line!

I am back from ramen land-- Osaka Japan. Japan is just like no other place, they have a world of its own. Each trip is like the first time =) . It was our 1st time in Japan at this time of the year-- Fall is beautiful..here are some of 500 photos I took..

I have a little secret-- I can speak, read and write basic Japanese (nax). Well speak like a 3yr old Japanese that is!-- haha. I took Nihongo a while back, its cool , I can actually read the characters when I'm there. Looking forward to good eats, as there are NO bad meals in Japan. Also gettin my Uniqlo fix and I can check out the H&M Versace collection yaay!

Hair Issue

Its sad (well at least for me) I have thick limp straight hair. I almost always use a curling iron to create some waves during the day, or try to curl it hollywood-ish at night...

I have mastered the skill on using this, its takes 5 min . MOD hair is the brand. I'd say its the BMW of curling irons . I got mine in Japan. We are best friends.

A weekend fete'. My dearest friend celebrated her advance bday with dinner and dancing. It was a special night, Thank you for a fun filled 'nostalgic' fun evening. I wish her only the best, may you have more birthdays to come and looking forward to our  many more years of true friendship. sniff..

DIY- a satisfied lust!

 These Christopher Ross belts I've been stalking for the longest time. He is from New York City and has been sculpting belt buckles since the 70's. They are such collectors item, it gives any outfit that extra UMPH!  It will make any bad day like Christmas morning! 

Oh so lovely -- They are sold in the CR website or on ebay.

Old School Fun.

Took the kids out for some playtime in Luneta Park! 

We were very much delighted that the park was so clean,  parking was 2 steps away! There was a kalesa you can ride around the park, it was no ordinary kalesa but an old fashioned one with a leather canopy- and the driver even wore a barong! Needless to say the kids had such a great time. Open spaces are becoming almost obsolete in Manila but this will last forever huh? 

               The best part was-- daughter said--- " mom this is even better than Rockwell" =))
